LotsTeam and Upvoty both give you a feedback board with votes, a public roadmap, a changelog that tells voters when their request ships, and an MCP server for your AI agent. LotsTeam costs $9 per project, with the MCP server, a task board linked to the requests and a support inbox of numbered cases on every plan. Upvoty's pricing page lists its MCP under the $49 Hyper plan, and one project each on Power and Super.

If you're a founder or a lean team shipping one or more products and you want requests, tasks, support replies and the changelog run from your own AI agent, LotsTeam is the better fit. If you want an in-widget bug reporter with annotated screenshots, segments by revenue, or a plan with no project limit, look at Upvoty.

Everything about Upvoty below comes from its own pricing page, features pages, MCP page, API page and blog, checked on 31 October 2026, with links at the end. In LotsTeam a "post" means a piece of product feedback, such as a request, a bug or an idea, and a "project" is one product's workspace.

## Where LotsTeam is the better choice

### A price per project, with every feature in it

LotsTeam doesn't gate features by plan. The MCP server, the REST API, the task board, the support inbox, the changelog, the custom domain and team roles are in every plan, and a project costs $9 a month on pay as you go. Plans cover a block: $24 for 3 projects, $69 for 10, $159 for 30. You don't pay for seats.

Upvoty prices by plan. Its pricing page shows Power at $15 with one project, Super at $25 with one project and the changelog, and Hyper at $49 with unlimited projects and the MCP server. Here is what a founder needs for an agent-ready setup with a changelog, at the monthly prices on each page, checked on 31 October 2026:

| What you need | LotsTeam | Upvoty |
|---|---|---|
| 1 product, with changelog and MCP | $9 a month, pay as you go | Hyper, $49 a month |
| 3 products, with changelog and MCP | Starter, $24 a month for 3 projects | Hyper, $49 a month (the plan that lists unlimited projects) |

The scope isn't identical. Upvoty's Hyper plan also lists SAML SSO, which isn't on LotsTeam's plan cards, and unlimited projects at one price. Upvoty also offers a 14-day free trial; LotsTeam has no free plan, and new accounts get free credits when they sign up, no card, enough to run one project for about a month. The gate itself is worth confirming: Upvoty's features page says every feature comes with every plan, while its pricing page lists the MCP only under Hyper. Plans, credits and the rates for extra projects are in [LotsTeam Pricing Explained](https://blog.lots.team/lotsteam-pricing-explained) and on [lots.team/pricing](https://lots.team/pricing).

### An agent that can't delete your requests, and can have its own seat

The LotsTeam tools can read, create, update, link and merge. Merging duplicates moves votes, task links and comments to the post you keep and deletes nothing. There is no tool that deletes a post, a task or a project. The only deletes are an unpublished changelog draft (owners and admins only) and your own comments, and the agent asks you first.

Upvoty's MCP page describes the same kind of boundary in its own terms: scoped tokens, read-only for analysis, read-write for automation and admin for full management, and every tool call recorded in an audit log with the agent identifier. The page doesn't list the tools, so what an admin-scoped token can remove isn't stated there.

LotsTeam also lets you give an agent its own seat. Add an AI agent to your team as a Member or Viewer, with its own name and key, on only the projects you choose. Everything it does shows its name and an Agent badge, and you can pause it, replace its key or remove it without touching your own login. An AI agent member can't sign in, receive email, invite people or change roles, settings, domains or billing, and it's free, up to 20 per team. If you'd rather connect your own agent, you can narrow what it may do on the approval screen. [Is LotsTeam Safe?](https://blog.lots.team/is-lotsteam-safe) goes through the permissions, and [Can an AI Agent Be a Member of Your Team?](https://blog.lots.team/ai-agent-as-a-team-member) shows how to add one.

### A task board and a support inbox in the same project

In LotsTeam, a request from the widget or the portal, the task that comes from it, the support case where a customer asked about it and the changelog entry that announces it sit in one project. Your agent reads and prioritises the requests, merges duplicates, creates a task and links every post that asked for the same thing to it.

Every support message is a numbered case with a status (open, waiting on customer, snoozed, resolved or closed), a priority, an assignee, tags, saved replies and internal notes. Customers follow their cases on your portal. Your agent can list and update cases and read a thread to prepare a reply; sending needs your instruction. A case can be tracked as a post, and when that post ships the customer gets one "It's live" email.

Upvoty's pages describe feedback boards, a roadmap, a changelog, a widget, and assignees and priorities on posts. They don't describe a support inbox or a separate task board. If you want cases and tasks inside the same tool as the feedback, that is the LotsTeam side. For how other tools connect requests to delivery, see [The Best Tools to Link Feedback to Tasks](https://blog.lots.team/best-tools-to-link-feedback-to-tasks).

### Both close the loop; LotsTeam lets your agent draft it

Upvoty's changelog notifies the voters and followers of a request when it goes live. A LotsTeam changelog entry is linked to a task, and every post linked to that task has an author. When you publish with the notify option on, those authors get one email. It's off until you turn it on for that entry, and anonymous voters aren't emailed. Your agent drafts the entry from the task, and nothing goes public until you publish. The steps are in [How to Publish a Changelog and Notify the People Who Asked](https://blog.lots.team/publish-changelog-notify-people-who-asked).

## Where Upvoty fits

Upvoty is a focused, well-built feedback product with real strengths:

- **A bug reporter in the widget.** The widget lets users capture and annotate screenshots, with console logs, and offers floating, button or link styles, categories and custom CSS.
- **Segments.** Filter feedback by revenue or account tier, and push customer attributes in through the API.
- **Merge AI.** Duplicate posts are detected and merged automatically.
- **Integrations.** Slack, Intercom and Zapier, with the API and webhooks.
- **A changelog modal.** Show the latest release inside your app the moment a user logs in.
- **Reach.** The portal and emails run in 20+ languages, and there are weekly email digests for stakeholders.
- **No project limit on Hyper**, and an enterprise option with a dedicated success manager.
- **A 14-day free trial** with no card on every plan.

## If you run client projects

Agencies and freelancers who run feedback and changelogs for clients need one portal per client. In LotsTeam that is one project per client, each with its own portal, widget, support inbox, task board and changelog, optionally on the client's own domain, and you choose which staff, clients and agents see which project. Because you pay per project and not per seat, adding a client's team costs nothing. The setup is in [Feedback and Changelogs for Client Projects](https://blog.lots.team/feedback-and-changelogs-for-client-projects). Upvoty's Power and Super plans include one project each, so many clients point you to Hyper, which lists unlimited projects.

## Which one should you choose?

Choose **LotsTeam** if:

- You want one price per product, with the MCP server, task board, support inbox, changelog and custom domain included.
- You want the agent to work as you, or as its own member with its own key, with no way to delete your requests or projects.
- You want requests, the tasks behind them, support cases and the changelog in one workspace.
- You run more than one product, or several client projects.

Choose **Upvoty** if:

- You want annotated screenshots and console logs in the feedback widget.
- You want segments by revenue or account tier, SAML SSO or Merge AI.

## Run it from your AI agent

Give your agent this and let it set itself up:

> Read https://lots.team/skill.md and help me connect LotsTeam for you.

LotsTeam has no importer from Upvoty, so moving over is a job for your agent. Upvoty's features page says you can export posts, voters and activity to CSV at any time, so you don't need Upvoty's MCP for this. Export your posts, attach the file to an agent connected to the LotsTeam MCP server (`https://api.lots.team/mcp`), then ask:

> Read the attached CSV export of my Upvoty posts and tell me which columns hold the title, description, status, vote count and the poster's name and email. Show me the list first. For each post I approve, call create_post in my LotsTeam project with the same title and description, a category of feature, bug, improvement or question, the poster's email and user_name when the file has them, and the vote count written at the end of the description. Then group the posts that ask for the same thing, call merge_posts on true duplicates, create one task per group with create_task, and link each post to its task with link_post_to_task. Don't publish anything.

Logging a post with the requester's email means they can be told when the work ships. Keep your Upvoty account until you've checked the result. [LotsNotes Pro](https://lotsnotes.com/pricing) is included with the Pro and Business plans.

## Common questions

### Is LotsTeam an Upvoty alternative?

Yes, for a feedback board with votes, a public roadmap, a changelog that notifies the people who asked and an MCP server, plus a task board and a support inbox built in. LotsTeam charges per project, with no per-seat fee and the MCP server on every plan. For annotated screenshots in the widget, segments by revenue or a plan with no project limit, look at Upvoty.

### How much does Upvoty cost?

Upvoty's pricing page shows Power at $15 a month for one project, Super at $25 for one project and Hyper at $49 with unlimited projects, billed monthly, and an enterprise option you contact it about. Annual billing saves 10%. Every plan has a 14-day free trial with no card. Prices checked on 31 October 2026.

### Does Upvoty have an MCP server, and which plan includes it?

Yes. It describes a native MCP server for Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other MCP clients, with scoped tokens (read, write, admin) and an audit log of every tool call. Its pricing page lists Upvoty MCP under Hyper, while its features page says every feature comes with every plan, so confirm at checkout. LotsTeam's MCP server is on every plan, and its agent has no tool to delete a post, task or project.

### Does Upvoty have a support inbox?

Its feature pages describe feedback boards, a roadmap, a changelog and a widget, with assignees and priorities on posts, and don't describe a support inbox. LotsTeam has one built in: numbered cases with statuses, priority, assignee, saved replies and a customer portal.

### Does LotsTeam charge per seat?

No. You pay for projects: $9 per project a month on pay as you go, or $24, $69 or $159 a month for 3, 10 or 30 projects. Team members aren't a billed unit, and AI agent members are free, up to 20 per team.

### Can I move from Upvoty to LotsTeam?

There's no importer. Export your posts from Upvoty as CSV, give the file to your agent and have it log them in LotsTeam with create_post, keeping each requester's email, then merge duplicates and group them into tasks. The prompt is above.
