Beamer alternatives depend on what you use Beamer for. If you mean Beamer the in-app changelog and feedback tool from getbeamer.com, and you run your product from an AI agent, try LotsTeam first: changelog, feature requests, tasks and support in one workspace, $9 per project a month, with MCP on every plan. If push notifications and in-app announcements are the point, AnnounceKit is the closest match.
This list covers the tools I'd look at if I were leaving Beamer for both halves of the job, the changelog and the feature requests. Everything about them comes from their own pages, opened on 28 October 2026, with links at the end. In LotsTeam a "post" means a piece of product feedback, such as a request, a bug or an idea, and a "project" is one product's workspace.
Why people look for a Beamer alternative
Beamer prices its changelog by monthly active users: the number of unique people who load its script in a month. Starter is $59 a month on monthly billing ($49 yearly) for 5,000 of them, and extra bundles of 5,000 are added automatically at $50 a month. Feature requests, which Beamer calls Feedback, are a separate add-on with their own plan: a free tier for public ideas, votes and a roadmap, and a Pro tier, listed at $119 a month on monthly billing ($99 yearly) in its comparison table, with private ideas, moderation, a priority score and API access. The add-on card on the same page says $99 a month, so confirm the figure with Beamer. A Starter changelog plus a Pro feedback board at the table price comes to $178 a month on monthly billing, or $148 yearly, before your user count grows.
The other reason is agent access. Beamer's help center says Beamer has no built-in connector for AI assistants such as an MCP server. An agent or automation can use the Beamer API, which can create and read posts, or Zapier and webhooks. If you want to say "write the entry for what we shipped and publish it" in the chat you already have open, that is a different kind of tool.

1. LotsTeam: changelog, requests, tasks and support, one price per project
LotsTeam keeps requests, the tasks behind them, support messages and the changelog in one workspace. A feedback widget on your site and a public portal collect requests, bugs and votes. Your AI agent (ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code or any MCP-capable agent) reads them, merges duplicates, creates a task and links the post to it. When the work ships, it drafts the changelog entry, tagged New, Improved or Fixed, and publishes it when you say so. The dashboard does the whole job too.
What sets it apart from Beamer is the link between the two halves. If the entry is linked to a task with requests behind it, you can turn on one email to the people who asked, sent once on first publish. Anonymous voters are not emailed, and every email carries a link to stop these updates.
- One price, not a MAU count. $9 per project a month from credits, or plans of $24 for 3 projects, $69 for 10 and $159 for 30. Organizations and team members are unlimited. Changelog, feedback board, roadmap and support inbox come with every project.
- MCP and REST on every plan. Your agent signs in as you, with your permissions. You can also give an AI agent its own seat and key: free, up to 20 per team.
- A start without a card. Free credits when you sign up, no card, enough to run one project for about a month.
Choose LotsTeam if you are a founder or a lean product team and you want the changelog, the requests and the follow-up emails in one place that your agent can run. Details: changelog, feedback board, public roadmap and pricing.
2. AnnounceKit: the closest match for in-app announcements
AnnounceKit is a modular product communication platform. Its Changelog product is $59 a month and its Feature Requests & Roadmap product is $49 a month on monthly billing, with annual billing about 20% lower. Every workspace includes 10,000 monthly active users, then $25 per 5,000, and each product includes 3 team members. Its page lists in-app widgets in 10 or more display modes, email, Slack and RSS from one post.
Its MCP server is included in every product. Its page says an agent can draft, publish and schedule posts and read feedback and NPS, on your request. A 15-day trial needs no card.
Choose AnnounceKit if in-app widgets and segmented announcements are what you use in Beamer today.
3. Canny: feedback first, with revenue context
Canny is a feedback tool with a changelog and Autopilot, which captures feedback from support and sales conversations. It prices by tracked users, meaning any user associated with feedback: free for 25, then Pro from $79 a month billed yearly for 100 or more, and Business is custom. Its MCP server works with ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor and is on any paid plan. It reads feedback and changes statuses, with changes logged.
Choose Canny if you want feedback tied to revenue and are happy to pay by tracked users. The price comparison is in Canny Alternatives for People Who Use an AI Agent.
4. Featurebase: a support suite with feedback and Updates
Featurebase leads with a help desk, and its feedback boards, roadmaps, public changelog page and in-app and email Updates sit in the same subscription. Pricing is per seat: a free plan with one seat, then $29, $59 and $99 per seat a month on the pricing page, with 20% off for yearly billing. MCP, API and webhooks start on Growth, and its MCP server covers feedback and Updates through OAuth, with the permissions of the person who connected it. Its FAQ says it migrates feedback automatically from Canny, Productboard, Frill and Beamer, and a 10-day trial needs no card.
Choose Featurebase if you want a help desk next to the changelog, or you want an automatic import of your Beamer data. See Featurebase Alternatives.
5. UserJot: flat plans and unlimited users
UserJot has feedback boards, a public roadmap and a changelog on every plan, including the free one, with unlimited users and posts. Starter is $29 a month and Professional $59, with a 14-day trial. Its MCP server lets an agent answer customers, move the roadmap and draft the changelog, using a token that can reach your whole workspace, so give each agent its own. Its importer covers Canny, Nolt, ProductRoad and CSV.
Choose UserJot if you want a flat plan and a free tier with a changelog.
6. Frill: ideas, roadmap and announcements
Frill's plans run from $25 a month on Startup to $349 on Enterprise on monthly billing, with unlimited teammates and tracked users and a 14-day trial with no card. It covers ideas, a roadmap and announcements. Its MCP server reads and changes ideas, votes, comments and announcements, signing in with OAuth or an API key.
Choose Frill if you want ideas and announcements together at a low entry price.
7. Upvoty: low entry price, changelog from Super
Upvoty's plans on monthly billing are Power at $15, Super at $25 and Hyper at $49, each with unlimited tracked users and a 14-day trial with no card. The changelog starts on Super, and its MCP server is on Hyper.
Choose Upvoty if you want a low monthly entry price and do not need MCP below the top plan.
If you run changelogs for clients
Agencies that keep a changelog and a request board for several client products can give each client its own LotsTeam project: its own portal, widget and changelog, at $9 per project a month from credits or inside a plan of 3, 10 or 30 projects, with unlimited team members. The walkthrough is in Feedback and Changelogs for Client Projects.
If you run a small business, not a software product
If customers email you requests and you want a page where they can see what you changed, the same portal and changelog work from the dashboard alone. You do not need an AI agent to use them.
When to stay on Beamer
Beamer does things the others here do differently, so staying is the right call if you use them:
- Push and in-app reach. Push notifications to people who are offline, plus boosted in-app announcements such as pop-ups and top bars.
- Segmentation and personalization. Send updates to segments of users, with dynamic content from live user data.
- Integrations. It connects to 3,000 or more apps, with the Beamer API, Zapier and webhooks.
- An editor with AI. Its changelog editor includes an AI content generator on the Pro plan and above.
If those are the point, stay, or look at AnnounceKit. If the point is to run changelog and requests from your agent, move.
Move from Beamer with your agent
LotsTeam has no importer, so you bring your latest entries across with your agent. Give it this and let it set itself up:
Read https://lots.team/skill.md and help me connect LotsTeam.
Then paste the text of your last ten Beamer posts and ask:
In my project, create a changelog draft for each of these Beamer posts, tagged New, Improved or Fixed as fits. Don't publish any of them. Show me the list when you're done.
Review the drafts in the dashboard and publish what you want. The MCP server is https://api.lots.team/mcp; see the MCP setup and pricing. To compare more tools, read The Best Changelog Tools and The Best Public Roadmap Tools.
Common questions
What is the best alternative to Beamer?
It depends on what you use Beamer for. For a changelog, feature requests, tasks and support in one workspace that you run from an AI agent, LotsTeam is $9 per project a month. For in-app announcements, AnnounceKit. For a help desk next to the changelog, or an automatic import from Beamer, Featurebase. For a flat plan with a free tier, UserJot.
Is there a free alternative to Beamer?
Beamer has a free plan for fewer than 1,000 monthly active users, with one teammate. UserJot, Featurebase and Canny have free plans too: UserJot with unlimited users, three team members and a changelog, Featurebase with one seat, and Canny with 25 tracked users. LotsTeam gives new accounts free credits when they sign up, no card, enough to run one project for about a month.
Does Beamer have an MCP server?
No. Beamer's help center says it has no built-in connector for AI assistants such as an MCP server. The Beamer API can create and read posts, and Beamer works with Zapier and webhooks. AnnounceKit, Canny, Featurebase, UserJot, Frill, Upvoty and LotsTeam all list an MCP server.
Can I move my Beamer posts to another tool?
Featurebase says it migrates feedback from Beamer automatically. UserJot lists importers for Canny, Nolt and ProductRoad plus CSV. LotsTeam has no importer: paste your latest posts into your agent and ask it to create changelog drafts. For the other tools, an import from Beamer is not stated on their pricing pages.
Can I email the people who asked when a feature ships?
In LotsTeam, yes. Link the changelog entry to the task, and you can turn on one email to the authors of the posts behind it, sent once on first publish. Anonymous voters are not emailed, and each email has a link to stop these updates.
Do I need an AI agent to use LotsTeam?
No. The dashboard does the whole job: collect requests, link them to tasks and publish the changelog. An agent such as ChatGPT or Claude can do the same work from a chat.
